Privacy Policy
This page is a placeholder, not a finished legal policy. A full privacy policy needs review beyond what's in this codebase — we're not fabricating legal language to fill the space. What follows are the actual, verifiable data-handling facts as of today, so this page is honest while the real policy is written.
What we collect
Creating an account collects an email address and password (stored as a bcrypt hash, never in plain text). Completing your profile adds your education level, board, stream, university, and the goals you select. As you use the app, we store your quiz/assessment attempts, computed mastery scores, mistakes, revision schedule, study plans, and — if you use the career journey — your career profile, skill claims, and job applications.
How AI features work with your data
Questions you ask the AI tutor, and context needed to answer them (such as the topic and your preferred language), are sent to a third-party AI provider to generate a response. That's the extent of AI-related data sharing today — there's no separate marketing or analytics use of this content.
Account deletion
You can permanently delete your account from within the app. Deletion removes your account and every row of data associated with it — mistakes, attempts, mastery, revision history, study plans, career data, and your profile — in a single operation. This is a real, working feature, not a request queued for manual processing.
What we don't have yet
There's no advertising, no sale of personal data, and no separate analytics/tracking product wired into the app today. There's also no self-service "export my data" feature yet, beyond what you can already see on your own profile screens in the app.
